Tucson Sector Border Patrol brokers arrested an alleged human smuggler after discovering three migrants locked inside a pickup-truck toolbox. The brokers found the migrants trapped within the field following a Ok-9 inspection.
Brokers assigned to the Tucson Sector Three Factors Station responded final week to a request for help from the Tohono O’odham Police Division, in keeping with a tweet from Chief Patrol Agent John R. Modlin.

The brokers arrived on the scene and performed a preliminary search with a Ok-9 crew. The Ok-9 alerted to the doable presence of drug or human cargo within the truck. A bodily inspection of a locked toolbox within the truck’s mattress led to the invention of three migrants. The migrants had no technique of escape within the occasion of a crash or being deserted by the smuggler.
The person, a U.S. citizen, now faces prison costs for “a brazen human smuggling attempt,” Modlin acknowledged.
The next day, Douglas Station brokers stopped a pickup truck with faux license plates, Modlin tweeted. The brokers noticed a bunch of suspected migrants coming into the truck close to Douglas, Arizona.
After stopping the driving force, the brokers discovered 13 migrants — together with two young children — packed dangerously within the cab and mattress of the truck.
Modlin stated the human smuggler confirmed no regard for the protection of the camouflage-wearing migrants packed within the truck.
