One message from a feminine athlete known as Gaines a “huge inspiration” and stated “I didn’t qualify for XC [Cross Country] state because a trans[identifying male] took my spot. It’s my senior year in high school I’ll never get that chance again. Thank you for what you are doing.”
One other wrote, “The same biological male who I raced in XC[Cross Country] I also raced in track. And it all just feel unfair. I have absolutely no power to do anything. But I am grateful that the House tried to pass a bill to change things.”
