Twitter wasn’t as bad as conservatives feared when it came to silencing voices its social justice commandoes didn’t like.
Latest “Twitter Files”The leak, which was live-tweeted on Thursday night by Bari Weiss an independent journalist, showed that the secret cabal frequently scurried between yoga rooms, omelette stations and plastic cups of cabernet to suppress any free thought it might have. The built-in rules designed to silence conservatives could only go so far; muzzling critical thinkers who didn’t overtly violate them required black operations.
“We control visibility quite a bit,” an engineer told Weiss. “And we control the amplification of your content quite a bit. And normal people do not know how much we do.”
1. The new #TwitterFiles investigation reveals that teams of Twitter employees build blacklists, prevent disfavored tweets from trending, and actively limit the visibility of entire accounts or even trending topics—all in secret, without informing users.

There was a pre-Elon Musk-era Twitter that was filled with self-important censorship officers adorned in delusional titles. Vijaya Gadde served as the head of Vijaya Gadde. “head of legal policy & trust,” and Yoel Roth, who was Twitter’s “global head of trust & safety.” When an objectionable opinion landed on the platform without violating any codified rules, the head of legal policy & trust and the global head of trust and safety convened the Strategic Response Team – Global Escalation Team (SRT-GET) to go after the offender.
That was so stupid. Woke crackpots darting furtively around the platform’s San Francisco headquarters with their man buns on fire whenever independent thought trespassed onto Twitter.
“This is the global head of trust & safety,”Roth’s shrieking can be heard from the roof-top exercise room. “Get the Strategic Response Team – Global Escalation Team on the line, stat. Libs of TikTok has posted a video of a public school teacher beclowning himself!”
Weiss announced in the second Twitter round of internal communications that Dr. Jay Bhattacharya (a Stanford University professor, who had been a vocal critic of COVID lockdowns as well as vaccine mandates) was secretly marked. “Trends Blacklist,”He meant that nothing he tweeted could become a topic of interest. Bhattacharya gets more vindicated the more we know about COVID, vaccinations and public policy.
Turning Point USA chief and conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s Twitter page was set to “Do Not Amplify,”An unlabeled designation could just as well be called “designation” “Silence.”
Dan Bongino (conservative podcaster, Fox News Channel host) was given a slap on the face. “Search Blacklist,” meaning if you went looking for what the best-selling author had tweeted, you wouldn’t get any help from Twitter.
“The Republic is dying, and useful idiots in the media, big tech tyrants, and totalitarian leftists are gleefully assisting in killing it,”After his suspicions were confirmed, Bongino spoke to me. “I knew this was happening, and now everyone else does too.”
In the wake of Weiss’s report, Musk confirmed that the practice of “shadow banning,”Where a user’s content or user is hidden from the internet community, it was used even against candidates for office. It would be called meddling in elections by some, even though Jack Dorsey’s Twitter executives have denied this for many years.
“Twitter exists to serve the public conversation, enabling important discussions around the world to occur,”Gadde Tweeted in 2018 “Favoring one specific ideology or belief goes against everything we stand for.”
Despite Gadde’s contemptible lie, Twitter under the old regime was not “safe”For conservative views, that misinformation needed to be exposed. Fortunately, Musk’s strategic response has been to escalate it globally.
