Deadly Mexican Detention Heart Hearth close to U.S. Border Set by Protesting Migrants

Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador introduced Tuesday that 39 migrants died throughout a fireplace at a detention middle in Ciudad Juarez. The president stated detained migrants began the fireplace throughout a protest after the group realized they had been going to be deported.

The incident came about on Monday evening shortly after 9:30 p.m. at a detention facility run by Mexico’s Nationwide Migration Institute (INM). The fireplace started when a bunch of migrants grew to become agitated and stacked sleeping mats by the door and set them ablaze.

“They didn’t imagine that this would cause such a terrible tragedy,” the Mexican president stated throughout his morning information convention. “We still don’t know the names or the nationalities of those who lost their lives. It is so sad for this to happen.”

In a ready assertion, INM officers revealed that the incident was beneath investigation. The investigation has been referred to Mexico’s Human Rights Fee.
