Latest version by the Democrats “we got Trump this time” has failed — again.
It became evident, as a result of watching the hearings on January 6, that the entire exercise was about getting ex-President Donald Trump.
A recent ABC News survey found that just 10% of the people watching are actually paying attention to the hearings. “very closely,” Breitbart News reported.
ABC portrays the survey and its committee as bipartisan, but later admits that it is split along party lines.
It reads that “91% of Democrats thinking Trump should be charged with a crime compared to 19% of Republicans. On whether Trump bears a ‘great deal’ or a ‘good amount’ of responsibility for the attack, 91% of Democrats and 21% of Republicans say he does.”
Breitbart News explained “So far, the committee’s efforts have only made a six percent difference in the amount of Americans who believe former President Donald Trump should be held criminally liable for the January 6 Capitol riot.”
Also, the former President took aim at this committee and called the hearings a “crime.” “disgraceful performance.”
“There’s no clearer example of the menacing spirit that has devoured the American left than the disgraceful performance being staged by the unselect committee,”He replied, “Ay Faith and Freedom Coalition” in Nashville, Tennessee.
He denied reports that Mike penn, the former Vice President, had called him a. “wimp.”
“I don’t even know who these people are. But I never called Mike Pence a wimp,””He said. “I never called him a wimp. Mike Pence could have been great. It was an opportunity to make history.
“But just like Bill Barr and the rest of these weak people, Mike – and I say it sadly because I liked them – but Mike did not have the courage to act,”He stated.
“’Mike was afraid of whatever he was afraid of,”He stated. “But as you heard a year and a half ago, Mike Pence had absolutely no choice but to be a human conveyor belt.”
He teased that he would run for the presidency again in 2024.
“One of the most urgent tasks facing the next Republican president — I wonder who that will be,”He stated. “Would anybody like me to run for president?”
He could also announce his candidacy before the midterms.
Former president teased about the possibility of running for the presidency in 2024. Many assumed he would be there, but sources now suggest that he could announce as early as July Fourth, NBC News reports.
While some believe that he should wait for the midterm elections before he makes his announcement, others think he should announce it sooner to stop any potential rivals from getting too much attention.
“I’ve laid out my case on why I think he should do it,” his longtime adviser Jason Miller, said as he accompanied the former president to a rally in Wyoming over Memorial Day weekend. “I think that there being clarity about what his intentions are [is important] so he can start building that operation while it’s still fresh in people’s minds and they’re still active — a lot of that can be converted into 2024 action.”
An adviser that believes Trump should delay the midterms stated that Trump believes the announcement will come after that time. “sooner rather than later.”
The adviser said that one question is “whether he can sort of suppress his excitement about a 2024 rematch and not, say, go ahead and put that statement out … and waits for a big event, a big speech to do it.”
“A betting person says he’s doing it, and he also wants to crowd out the rest of the field,” they said.
Two people in Trump’s orbit told NBC News they had been asked informally to hold July 4 as a date for a possible announcement, but Miller — noting that Trump hasn’t yet decided to run — said it is “not true”It is known that the launch day was reserved even unofficially.
Trump spokeswoman Taylor Budowich told NBC News in a text that he saw a growing demand for a Trump comeback, but did not address the timing question.
“America was strong, prosperous, and greatly respected under President Trump, and that’s why he continues to have unprecedented strength through his endorsement record and the demand for his leadership has never been higher,”The spokesman stated that.
