Lucky winner wins $754 Million Lotto Jackpot

A Washington State resident overcame severe odds to claim a 754.6 million Powerball Jackpot.

Monday’s winning numbers were: 05, 11, 22, 23.23.69, and Powerball 07.

In a statement, lottery officials stated that only one ticket could match all six numbers. The sales of these tickets pushed the jackpot to $747million.

A winner can choose to receive an annuity in an immediate, but not complete payout. Then follow up with additional payments for 29 years. These increases by 5% each year. You can choose to receive a cash lump sum of $407.2 Million.

Powerball stated that both prizes are available if they include taxes.

The jackpot for the next drawing scheduled for Wednesday is $20 million, according to the lottery’s website.

Monday night’s win was the first Powerball jackpot win since Nov. 19. The prize grew steadily over the winless streak, until it reached the ninth highest in U.S. history.

Annuity payments can be increased by higher interest rates than they were for earlier jackpots when they had lower rates. Many winners would prefer immediate cash prizes.

The game’s abysmal odds of 1 in 292.2 million are designed to build big prizes drawing more players. It has been proven successful recently. Someone in Maine won $1.35billion Mega Millions in January, while a California player took home a record $2.04billion Powerball Jackpot in November.

These prizes are not claimed by any one.
