Saturday Night Live was quick to mesh two of the country’s hottest topics Saturday: the NFL playoffs and Rep. George Santos’s history as a drag queen.
Cast member Bowen Yang played the embattled congressman in the opening skit –in which the lying pol waltzed onto a football field in a glitzy red dress and black wig, similar to the one Santos was allegedly caught sporting at a 2005 Brazil pride parade, to serve as a news correspondent.
Mikey Day is a Fox NFL Host and Cast Member. He addressed Mikey as “George” — and told him to get off the screen.
“I’m not George, I’m Kitara Ravache,”Yang stated that Yang was using Santos’ name while wearing drag in Brazil.
Instead of giving football stats, Yang rattled off the pol’s alleged drag queen record, which included dance moves like death drops and duck walks.
“I was also given the award for tightest tuck,” Yang said slyly.

Yang, who posed as Santos and then danced to the NFL theme tune, declaring that he could do it because his mom allowed him to. “died twice on 9/11,” a direct reference to one of Santos’s many lies. He claimed that his mother was killed in the Twin Towers fall, when in fact she was in Brazil and had lived to 2016.
Santos finally admitted Saturday — just hours before the skit comedy show premiered — that he actually did dress up as a woman, but claimed it was a one-and-done performance.
“No, I was not a drag queen in Brazil, guys. I was young and I had fun at a festival. Sue me for having a life,”The photo was first published on September 1, and the freshman Congressman came out as openly gay one week later.
Yang reprised the role of Santos for the show’s Weekend Update but ditched the dress in favor of the politician’s typical sweater and blazer combo.

Host Colin Jost grilled Yang about the plethora of lies that have been exposed in the few short weeks since he assumed office — that he went to New York University, that he’s Jewish and that he worked for Goldman Sachs.
“No, I filled the gold man Sachs,” Yang said.
Yang said that Madonna called him during an interview. He claimed that Anne Frank was told by his grandparents to keep a journal and that Rasputin was his great-grand uncle.
“That cannot be true, George. People need to know who you are,”Jost.
“Okay, well I am George Santos, Miss Devolder if you’re nasty,”Yang said this in reference to Santos who was caught using video during a New York City LBGT panel 2019.

Jost finally asked Yang point blank whether he could tell the truth or if he was simply physically incapable.
Yang countered initially, claiming he had evidence that SNL required Yang to take a lie detector test prior to him appearing on the program. He reached in his pocket and found a Covid-19 rapid exam.
He then admitted that he was a Santos impersonator and said that he spun so many lies to prove he is an a. “team player” “the sport is lies.”
“At least mine are fun!” Yang said. “Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Green’s over here saying 9/11 didn’t happen. I just said it happened to me!”
