As the search for the next James Bond continues, one thing is for sure — Pierce Brosnan simply doesn’t care who becomes the next martini-drinking secret agent.
This 69-year-old actor helmed the iconic role of 007 in four Bond movies, from 1995 to his exit from the franchise in 2002.
Asking who should drink the tea? “shaken, not stirred”Brosnan made it abundantly clear that he thought about this matter after Daniel Craig.
“Who should do it?” he said to GQ magazine in a cover interview. “I don’t care.”
“It’ll be interesting to see who they get, who the man shall be,”He went on. “Whoever he be, I wish him well.”
Brosnan was fifth to be cast as Bond after Timothy Dalton, who played the part in two movies.
During Brosnan’s 7 years as Bond, he appeared in four films, including “GoldenEye”1995 “Tomorrow Never Dies”In 1997 “The World Is Not Enough” in 1999, and 2002’s “Die Another Day.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Brosnan revealed he’s only seen two of Craig’s five Bond films: “Skyfall”The latest version, “No Time to Die.”
“I love Skyfall,”According to him, the actor said so. The actor was asked his opinion about “No Time To Die,”Brosnan seemed to be sludging the film.
“I’m not too sure about the last one,”He said. Brosnan, despite the fact that he thought so, applauded Craig’s being honest. “very courageous” “very strong.”

As the search for the next Bond goes on, talk of Idris Elba being the next 007 has been going on for years. Recent whispers were addressed by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers.
“He’s great,” Wilson told Variety while Broccoli added, “We love Idris.”
“It’s going to be a couple of years off,”Broccoli. “And when we cast Bond, it’s a 10-, 12-year commitment. So he’s probably thinking, ‘Do I really want that thing?’ Not everybody wants to do that. It was hard enough getting (Daniel Craig to do it).”
Wilson noted that Craig (now 54) was only 30 when he started his career as Bond. Elba would have been at least 60 years old by the time that he decided to quit, which makes it seem very unlikely.
