The Woke Grammys saw another disaster with 12.4 million viewers.

That means you should not believe the headlines, like this one… “Ratings: Grammy Awards Audience Surges 30% to Hit a 3-Year High”!

Increases to three year high

Surge!

High!

Yeah, no.

Lol.

How about a little context to make sense of just how awful 12.4 million viewers is…?

The Grammys attracted 18.7million viewers in 2020. That was considered a catastrophe. At the time, 18.7 million, which is 50 percent higher than this Sunday night’s viewership, was nearly an all-time low. Here’s what we wrote at the time:

Total viewers were 18.7 millions, which was just one million more than the Grammy record of 17 million in 2006.

You can see how huge a disaster Sunday night turned out when you look at the American population’s growth from 299 to 330 million in 2006 to date.

For some real context, and as a means to expose just how bad this number is, back in 2017, 26 million tuned in. It was watched by 40 million people in 2012. Grammy Award viewing has been in teens since 1977. Two of these times were in the past two years.

Entertainment media cannot make this 12.4million debacle anything other than a disaster due to the 8.8 millions who saw it in 2021, and 8.9 million in 2022.

So, yeah, I guess 12.4 million is higher than 8.8 million, but two times zero is still zero, y’all.

Between 1976 and 2019, this award show drew between 20-30 million viewers. The Grammys delivered an average of 20 million viewers between 2010 and 2017. Close to 40 million viewers tuned in for the 2012 Grammys.

So, the very idea that 12.4 million — which is the third worst in Grammy history, which is so bad, the fourth worst is 17 million — somehow constitutes a rebound, is a joke.

These award shows have no entertainment value and nobody is going to be watching them. These shows are anti-entertainment. Nobody wants to see three hours of rich and powerful people talking about themselves and the awful state of others. Entertainment industry is displacing their audiences. In a world that offers many entertainment options, they are making it difficult for us to exercise our rights.

And don’t you dare blame streaming competition. While 2020 may seem far away, it was still a decade ago. However, if I recall correctly, there was Netflix in 2020. The Grammys, however, managed to reach 18.7 millions viewers.

What’s happening is very simple… Over the last five years, Hollywood has gotten uglier and uglier. Entertainment industry is apathetic towards its customers. Entertainment industry embraces gross things like obesity, hairy men in dresses and other disgusting stuff. “beautiful.”The entertainment industry also gave us Chubby Sin last night.

It is an industry that only wants to appeal to its customers, which is evident in the rating system.

Don’t blame us, Hollywood. We’re just hating you back.
